If true yes. Also to note this is what everytime iran accelerated their nuclear program and israel bombed their facilities they chilled for a bit. I still don't trust trump to not get cozy with the ayatollah, he sure loves authoritarian leaders and that would mean less restrictions on them.

During the crisis(12 day war?) I was listening to some expert guy that claimed this was the scariest scenario, Iran will just string along the US and pretend to cooperate only to win time and rush the bomb, remember their 60% uranium is still missing, no one knows where it is and bringing that to 90% takes about 3 days… 


His argument (I think is very valid) is that Iran is still in a state of war and the next thing we hear from them is their nuclear test a few months/years from now, I think that is inevitable at this point, if I am them I am never negotiating in good faith with the US. 


To any dumb fcks who think “we can bomb then again” you are delusional dumb fcks, just shut up, nothing less than ground forces and securing the uranium they already enriched is gonna keep them from the bomb, stop embarrassing humanity with your cope/stupidity.

In 2016 when trump pulled out of the Obama Iran deal, one of the clauses said if America pulls out of the deal Iran can enrich up to 60%. Biden fails to renegotiate the deal, trump takes office starts negotiating and then is pressured by israel Iran must have zero enrichment something everyone in dc knows Iran will not accept, Israel bombs them, trump sees this and says it was actually all his idea (it wasn’t he just saw it look cool on fox) decides he’ll also bomb their nuclear capabilities, negotiates a ceasefire, and now we’re back to renegotiating a deal we should have never have pulled out of in the first place. If this doesn’t sound right let me know, I’d be happy to discuss the reality of the situation

I read a tweet today that said "[some Iranian guy] says under no circumstances whatsoever will Iran give up its nuclear program." 

This feels preferable to that. Hopefully this is the end of it. Not looking for another war, I just don't want the looney genocidal methhead regime to have nuclear bombs.

All presidents face a crisis that has no clear answer. Their decision will shape the course of history. Time will tell whether he made the right one today, but if 1) Iran was indeed close to a nuclear weapon and 2) this presented a threat to Israel and the stability of the world as a whole and 3) due to a diminished defensive capability of Iran and proxies this was the best time to strike, then it probably was the best decision for the peaceful future of the region and the world.

I was watching a video earlier on Binkov's Battlegrounds on how the US's strongest bunker buster might be insufficient to damage the Fordow facility. So, I'm waiting to see how much damage the attack did. Outside of that,
I think a lot of people are over estimating their ability to predict what will happen. There are so many ways it could play out and so many variables that it could be a disaster or the situation could be a stunning success.

The only country all in and cheering this is Israel.  Maybe Saudi leadership behind the scenes.  Perhaps also Lynn Cheney doing a jig with Lindsey Graham on top or a grinning McCain’grave.

The irony is that if Iran already had nukes we might have left them alone.  Hard to blame them for wanting to develop the capability.

All I can really say is that of all the actual and potential individuals that could have been Commander in Cheif since 2020 (presidents, VPs, the presidentail and VP candidates that lost) I think Donald Trump is the best for this positon and the one I trust most.

I belive he and his advisers have information I do not.  I belive Trump loves America and is protective of what we stand for; therefor I believe there was a good reason to do this, and that it was necessary.

This is one of those situations I'm glad I didn't have to make the final call on. I have very mixed feelings on this, I absolutely did not support going into Afghanistan or Iraq after 9/11 (and yes, I was old enough to remember, I also joined the Air Force in 2003). This situation, in my opinion, had no right answer. This will slow Iran down, as rebuilding that infrastructure will take a lot of time and money. But I just don't know how I feel. So I'll stick with the arguments I've been hearing and give my opinion on them.

1. By striking first we are starting a war - I'm on the fence on this one. Namely, Iran through it's proxies has been attacking the US and US interests since the 1970s. I think we've been "at war" with Iran for a long time. This is the most aggressive action we've taken in a long time, but I'm not so sure this wasn't where we were headed anyways.

2. We need more info - lol, no. We in the general public do not have the security clearance, and revealing everything could compromise informants and processes we have in place to monitor bad actors. 

3. There is a war within Trump's inner party over this decision - good. I WANT there to be dissenting voices, especially on decisions like this. I'm glad Tulsi was against it, it shows Trump doesn't only surround himself with "yes" men. She serves/served, she knows what this could mean and lead to. 

4. This will lead to direct action from either Iran proxies or other bad-actor states - possibly, but I also think most of them think Trump is insane and they are hesitant to do anything about it. I read a story this morning that an ex-President of Russia was talking about shipping nuclear warheads to Iran in response and I admit that made me chuckle. Russia does NOT want to be at war with the US. And I think they know we have ways to monitor their nukes and where they send them to. Just like they know where we store ours, they know we keep an eye on theirs any movement would provoke a strong reaction from us.

5. Our allies won't have our backs - this one gives me pause. Because what we see is a lot of tension between heads of state. That being said, there is not a single country outside of the aforementioned bad actors who wanted Iran to have nuclear weapons (and I'm pretty sure those countries were not so much okay with it as publicly supportive of the regime in general for appearances). I think Trump took a big risk here because the international community sees this administration as provocative and isolationist, but I also think he probably got a lot of secret thank you calls after.

6. Trump destroyed the best chance we had by tearing up the Iran nuclear deal - this is one that I have mixed feelings about. The Iran deal was not perfect, but it was something. Just like Biden ended Trump's maximum-pressure campaign, I think we will never know how those two things would have impacted this situation. I think there is a general consensus that Iran was not abiding by a lot of Obama's deal, and I think they let Iran get away with a lot. In the end the question becomes: is it better to have had SOMETHING, even if Iran wasn't completely cooperative, than nothing except economic pressure? And I don't have an answer to that.

7. Diplomacy was not given a chance - I call b.s. Iran has been stringing the international community on for years by feigning diplomatic ambitions and desires. 

In the end, if the end goal of this is regime change, I'm against it. The Iranian people deserve the government THEY want. If this encourages an internal revolt, then I wish them good luck. If this makes the Iranian people more pro- ayatollah then that's their choice. I know some amazingly wonderful Iranians (I had a wonderful nursing instructor who was Iranian and visited her home in Tehran every year), and I hate to see the people suffer. I hope this was the right call, but I'm glad it wasn't mine to make.

I am neither happy nor surprised. We will see what comes of this, but if it was truly "very successful," it would seem to be a good thing in general. I do agree with President Trump that Iran cannot create a nuclear weapon, and I do not understand the logic behind enriching uranium far beyond what is needed for a nuclear energy program as "for an energy program."

Talking about what though? Iran has made it clear that they are not letting go of their nuclear weapons programs and been threatening not just Israel, but the US, Europe, Saudi, Pakistan and so on. That list will only get bigger, not smaller. Also, what does this talk offer signal to North Korea...? 

Eventually you have to either go by your word and punish countries who want to acquire nuclear weapons or you just give them to everyone.
